Silicon-Iron (FeSi)

The whole range of OMEM products is available in Silicon-Iron with oriented grains in different thicknesses of material and magnetic quality: 0.23mm – 0.27mm – 0.30 mm – 0.10 mm – 0.05 mm – magnetic loss 0.5mm. (The cut cores are made according to standard series or on drawing; in this case, our technical office will evaluate the specific project from time to time.) Iron-Silicon products with non-oriented grains in 0.35mm thickness are also available. The ferro-silicon cores are available in different grades …

Nickel-Iron (FeNi)

Due to its high permeability, low losses and its high value, Nickel-Iron is used for the production of wound magnetic cores and shields of high quality and performance. OMEM supplies Iron-Nickel cores with a Nickel percentage of 78/80% in different thicknesses and magnetic guarantees: Iron-Nickel thickness 1mm – 0.5mm – 0.2mm – 0.1mm – 0.07mm. It is widely used in the field of medium and high frequencies as a core of transformers and inductors and for producing magnetic shields.Description Thickness of …

Nanocrystalline material

The nuclei in nanocrystalline material offer superior performance to the iron-nickel cores, both in terms of permeability along the entire BH curve, and in terms of saturation induction. Compared to iron-silicon cores, they have a lower saturation level but, thanks to the composition and reduced thickness of the laminations, they have extremely reduced power losses [w / kg]. This material is available in 0.03mm and 0.018mm thickness. Description Thickness of the material [mm] Coefficient of packing Density [kg / dm3] …

Accessories

Cores manufactured by OMEM, regardless of the material they are made of, can be supplied with additional processes, in order to make them more suitable for customers’ applications. Some processes are compulsory, such as impregnating the cores to be cut. Sometimes additional processes are recommended, such as hardening, to make the cores stronger and to prevent any handling related stresses. This is why OMEM normally hardens cores to be supplied to foreign markets….
