Nanocrystalline

Nanocrystalline cores boast a high initial permeability and low losses, low residual induction and low coercive field.

Nanocrystalline cores are used to produce current transformers (CT), safety transformers and residual current circuit breakers (RCCBs).

The low loss values of this material make it ideal for the production of transformers / devices operating at high frequencies.

Nanocrystalline Material

O.M.E.M. manufactures nanocrystalline toroidal cores with a minimum 25mm inside diameter up to a maximum 600mm outside diameter and with a strip height ranging from a minimum of 10mm to a maximum of 50mm. To manufacture larger toroidal cores, different heights may be used until the desired core is achieved.

Nanocrystalline toroidal cores can be supplied with a bespoke cover or can be coated with epoxy resin, able to protect the product during handling.

The epoxy resin coating makes the cores compact and gives them the mechanical resistance required when they are being transported, insulated and coiled with copper wire, making it possible to use them even without covers or stiff boxes and must therefore not be regarded as an insulating process.

Nanocrystalline Specially Shaped Cores

O.M.E.M. can manufacture custom designed cores of other shapes: oval, stepped, rectangular etc. Dimensional tolerance and guarantees must be agreed with each order.
